GET COZY WITH A GOOD BOOK - ADULT WINTER READING 2015

Adults can sign up for winter reading anytime during the months of January and February.  There is a sheet in the PROGRAMS book for this purpose and sheets for submitting titles that can be given out at registration (one at a time).  Please get the name, email, and phone number of everyone participating – don’t just hand them a sheet of slips for submitting titles without signing them up!  People are also welcome to sign up online through the blue link on the left side of the home page.  The program will run from January 2- March 20.

Titles of books in any format and even magazines can be submitted on slips or online for 4 reading-themed prizes and the grand prize.  Titles submitted during the weeks before a drawing will be included in that drawing, then put aside for the grand prize drawing.  Titles drawn for the 4 interim prizes will be excluded from the grand prize drawing, but the same person may win more than one prize with different titles.  The grand prize this year will be a Kindle Fire HD6.

Prize drawings will be held on Fridays and winners will be called by the following Monday:
January 23
February 6
February 20
March 6
March 20 – Grand prize drawing

This year we will also be presenting author visits in conjunction with the Adult Winter Reading program.  There is no obligation to attend these author talks, but we would like to encourage participants to share in the excitement of meeting  real-life published authors and having the opportunity to purchase signed copies of their books if they so desire.  Author visits are as follows on Wednesdays:

January 21 – Susannah Hardy (cozy mystery author)
February 4 – Jessica Handly (Fantasy / Horror)
February 25 – Matthew Dicks (Literary Fiction)
March 11 – Katy Lee (Inspirational Romantic Suspense)

We have a display near the circulation desk featuring works of these and various other authors in these fiction categories.

If you love to read, consider joining us for Get Cozy with a Good Book 2015!
